August Pemberton is the creative identity of Sydney based jeweller Simon Grew. Developing his skills over the last decade Simon has become a master of the noble metals 22ct, 18ct Yellow Rose Gold, Palladium Platinum, the most demanding yet prestigious metal of all. Simon is one a few jewellers in Australia to perfect the technique of Mokume Gane. Meaning "wood grain metal" and dating back over 400 years to feudal Japan it is the unique marriage of two or more metals born under intense heat and the power of a forging hammer. Each piece unrepeatable distinctly sui generis. The diversity of August Pemberton's design also include Tension Set Rings, an elegant style where the diamond appears suspended to the point of floating. Yet secured under the tremendous force of the opposing shoulders of the band.
