State and federal legislation requires the safe operation of pressure equipment to be ensured. The deregulation of the Government Inspection Sector now means that owners and operators are responsible to ensure their pressure equipment is safe for use by meeting several legislative requirements.

Some of these duties are:

·Pressure equipment with hazard levels A-C as per AS4343 are to be registered with the state governing body

·Pressure equipment including safety relief valves are to be inspected by competent personnel at set regular intervals as per AS3788

·Commission boilers or pressure equipment safely

Asset Reliability Inspections can help with all of the above owner duties by inspecting pressure plant equipment with qualified inspection personnel, identifying hazard levels and giving advice on how to register pressure equipment. Inspection is normally carried out via a frequency based inspection as determined by the relevant Australian Standard, but can include a mixture of risk based inspection where required. Other inspection techniques may be necessary to help determine pressure equipment integrity, such as ultrasonic wall thickness measurement which can also be carried out in-house by qualified personnel. ARI have AICIP certified personnel to perform all your pressure equipment inspection needs on boilers, vessels and pressure piping.
