“Teleoperation”
refers to the controlling of a vehicle when the operator cannot
physically see it. The operator relies on video camera, maps, and other
tools to effectively control the vehicle from a remote distance.
Argon
Technologies basic teleoperation kit consists of the following
components in addition to the standard remote control components:
2 x magnetically mounted cameras
Video radio equipment giving a baseline range of 1.5 to 3.5 km (extendable with repeaters)
Desktop or laptop PC based user interface software
