About Ampersand Magazine
Ampersand Magazine is a new Sydney-based art and culture journal devoted to discussion and knowledge. As its namesake suggests, Ampersand voraciously adds, compiles and collates material from diverse fields of interest to confront the great issues of our times; to open up the conflict of
opinion; to welcome the unpopular idea and the controversial issue; to
show curiosity, and compassion and concern; to be literate and
spirited; to bring people broadened knowledge and deeper understanding
on every subject. Ampersand explores creativity, societal change and the human condition. Ampersand brings together academia and popular culture, seriousness and humour, innovation and tradition. It intertwines it all with absurdity, sex and cheap laughs.
