What Minerals Do
· Supply essential minerals through the skin.
· Cleans, nourishes and softens the skin.
· Remove dead skin cells.
· Trap dirt and toxins.
Clays clean and soften and are gentle on your skin as they nourish your skin with essential minerals.
The
clay first adsorbs toxins (heavy metals, free radicals, pesticides),
attracting them to its surface area where they adhere to the clay then
it absorbs the toxins like a sponge.
There are no reports of allergy to clay in the available scientific literature.
However, allergy/hypersensitivity to clay, clay products, or constituents of clay may occur.
Preliminary patch test is advised before general application.
F.A.Q
Question: What is Kaolin?
Answer: Kaolin
is a mineral that is comprised mostly of Silicone. It has many uses the
best known of which is its use in Ceramics. Within the health and
beauty industry Kaolin is used as an additive to many health and beauty
products such as toothpaste, shampoo and body scrubs. On its own it can
also be used as a facial mask for skin toning and cleansing.
Question: What is Zeolite?
Answer:
Zeolite is the Industry standard name for the mineral we call
Crystallite. Zeolite is a newly discovered mineral that is only now
gaining awareness for its amazing properties. It’s used widely in
agriculture for its ability to retain water and it’s used in the
industrial market as a molecular sieve. Due to the unique way Zeolites
form they create a shape that is ideal for trapping toxins. It is for
this reason it has started to gain recognition in the health and beauty
industry. With its ability to trap toxins it makes an ideal additive
for soaps or body washes and is also an excellent base for cleansing
facial masks.
Question: What is Magnetite?
Answer:
Magnetite is a mineral that is widely known for its use with magnetic
therapy. However in the beauty industry magnetite is used mostly for
its properties as a colorant. Being jet black in colour it can be added
to clays to deepen or darken the colour. It has also been commented
that clays with magnetite and other iron rich clays are able to
transfer moisture back into the skin.
Question: Are your clays organic?
Answer:
No. Like many of our customers i was a little bit confused as I have
seen many companies advertising that their clays are “Organic” however
Clays and minerals cannot become certified organic as organic
certification is only for agricultural products grown from soil/ground.
The easiest way is to read the Australian Organic Standard.
This only allows the production practice of agricultural products.
